Hit number 53 last night and needs 9 more to beat Maris's non-steroid record of 61. I give him 50% chance.

they ruined the home run back in the 90's.....they did something to the ball back then.....since Ruth there have been 3-5 players every decade who hit 50 homers until the 70's when only Foster hit 50 and no one in the 80's.....and then in the 90's 12 fucking players hit 50?....players get better but not that much,i can see maybe 5-7 players, but 12?....i dont think so.....Hit number 53 last night and needs 9 more to beat Maris's non-steroid record of 61. How do we know Stanton is clean? Or if the ball isn't wound tighter? There have been blisters, nail injuries and the like of far more pitchers this year than in the past. Many players are swearing the ball is different, wound tighter. This makes it far easier to hit deep.
In the end, until stated otherwise, the record for HR's is Bonds followed by McGwire and Sosa. We all know they used special vitamins but it's difficult to say what is legitimate anymore. Sadly.
