Pantaleo placed Garner in an apparent choke hold, which is banned under NYPD policy. If an officer goes outside of department procedures he's done in any criminal action.against him.

Once the grand jury determines if he should be charged then there will be a trial, if he is found guilty, then he will be locked up.

Well, I have seen many a post recently indicating a lot of people think the Grand Jury process can be skipped, and arrested persons taken directly to a trial, ignoring the Constititution.
