I realize there are some risks involved but without the application of this now global technology United States will fall behind in every category very quickly. This is no time for partisan bickering. The shipbuilding industry is one example of where it is desperately needed.
Reducing everything from materials costs to processing costs to assembly procedure is vital speed up the delivery of long overdue and needed assets for national security.

I'm trying to wrap my head around why anyone would oppose this.

It used to be, when you watched a video created by a content creator, the good ones would take their time, document what they were saying, and find appropriate images and clips.

Now, when you get the AI Slop, you have mispronounced names, the same information being repeated multiple times, images that have nothing to do with the subject being discussed.

If what is labelled as AI actually worked, I would have a different set of reasons. Since it doesn't work, since it's not at all intelligent, I see insanely huge amounts of money, electricity, and water invested in infrastructure systems with no chance of ever seeing profit. The crash of all that lost capital, the neglect of more vital systems, the firings of temporarily people replaced by software, and the polluted water, are the consequences.

But I have wondered how much of that AI content is just people in India or China pretending to be AI.

because Trump has secured billions in AI development commitments from the private sector .. its that simple .. however I am concerned with AI and the impact it will have on traditional man power in the work force .. rest assured if and when the Dems retake power they will not only promote AI they will utilize it politically to deceive the populace and smear political opposition ..
