Do I think that Superintendents deserve a salary in the 300K plus range. Hell No. But it is ONE person.
Does the CEO David M. Zaslav of entertainment network Discovery, Inc. Zaslav was paid $129.4 million.

A public school secretary make 40-60K, whereas the Secretary to the Sup. makes 100K, as much as the highest paid teacher.
The District Office is OVERPAID. I agree.

Don't feel so bad, that's a bargain compared to Toronto and Ontario. I've spoke about this somewhat before on here. The main culprit is the covert kakistocracy that operates on nepotism and ensures their low performing families do well, while driving out our top talented. If you're a cop, your wife, mother and kids are probably on the sunshine list also, even if they happen to be as dumb as rocks and as honest as Pinocchio.

Maybe you can all understand why people like myself are destroyed while lying, story telling con artist/pedos and abusers have to justify their existence. We have a horribly inefficient economy in Ontario, thieves from the covert TPS, OPP and RCMP all chase their tails here expanding their budgets faster than the price of Apple stock.

We have 14M+ population in Ontario, a fraction of Californias economic output, Cali has nearly 40M people. So we are 1/3rd your population.

Calis economy is $3.1Trillion U.S dollars, ours is $615B converted to U.S dollars. Cali is 5 times our economy with less than 3x the population

Calis debt: $550B, Ontarios $350B. So on a population basis, Cali would have over $1T in debt if you had the same system as Ontario! (with far lower output).

We have 167,000 public service employees on the $100,000+ list than California!. Again, half of what California has, while we are 1/3rd your population Here is the site:

If I were to look for statistical differences, there is no contest. Ontario is in a far worse fiscal situation, while our economic indicators, competitiveness and efficiency is some exponential distance behind.

Even while this happens, the covert police apparatus is unmatched in expansion, and, a lack of accountability as politicians look away. Does this seem like a capitalist jurisdiction, or a socialist police state?

C'mon, the number of superintendents making $300k+ are not just ONE person, there are 10 listed and no doubt there are more. You may be happy with your salary, your students may love you, considering your English skills and math skills, I can't imagine too many parents feel the same way.

It was a hole in the system as they wanted to flood the market with cash to quell unemployment. Later many returned the funds not meant for them and they will be auditing all PPP loans over $2mil. Even Mark Cuban said to get the monies out there ASAP. Those who got the monies wrongly will have to pay it back. Those who didn’t will apply for full or partial forgiveness. Doesn’t excuse California for overpaying it’s government employees and asking the Federal Govt for aid. Especially when they have some of the highest taxes in the US.

It was a bipartisan bill and Trump didn’t issue the loans. There was guidance given and Banks issued the loans guaranteed by the SBA aka the Govt. Banks were supposed to vet these loans. You realize that banks issued the loans not the Govt directly, right?
