Actually, I have not done any significant reading about Germany.

I might be able to hum a few bars of the Brandenburg Concerto. As a child, we ate Thüringer (sausage). Is that from Thüringen?

I have heard about where all the Nazi camps were located. I have a vague idea of what the Weimar Republic was.

I know someone who spent Christmas in Munich and LOVED the festivity of the experience.
