What Would Charlie Say About All Of The Political Violence Happening?

Along with all the threats to MAGA Republicans and people saying that they're glad he's dead and calling for more assassinations? What would he want us to do? Do you think that he would admit that he was wrong about wanting to try and have a civil discussion with these people or would he have the same approach or a different approach altogether of trying to talk to them? For me I'm sorry to disappoint you Charlie but I just don't think that just simply talking to them is an option anymore. As they're clearly not interested in it.

That was my first thought when this happened to Charlie: (Oh, wait, I had that thought the first time I knew about him): Why was he trying to have an intelligent, rational conversation with people who are... words fail: loony tunes? unthinking? I mean, especially young people do not always have a well-developed world view, to put it mildly. The guy who allegedly killed him was 22 and I've heard that the male of our species doesn't even have a fully developed brain until 25.

But in any case, then you have the older liberals. . who remind me of that saying "There's no fool like an old fool"

I don't see how a person gets beyond age 40 still being a liberal, unless he doesn't watch news?

Anyway, this is one of the things that disturbs me the most about libs: They just don't seem to have the capacity for rational thinking. I guess you lose that when you decide to be liberal or maybe .. it's the chicken or the egg thing.. sigh
