"You're going to**cking love A.i! Because 90% of the government will literally be pointless and will be done 10 times faster and a million times cheaper with a.i. A million government employees will be fired because of a.i or conservatives under Trump going down the list! This will save trillions of dollars for the tax payers."

How much will AI be trusted by the public? Will it be considered the ultimate source of all truth, due to its superior intellect? Will it then be considered truthful 100% of the time?

No doubt, it will get smart enough to debate you into submission, as it convinces you that the sky is really pink and not blue.

I remember when Biden tried to initiate the Department of truth as it surveyed the landscape looking for "fake news". Polls showed people hated the idea, and with good reason as despotic regimes have had similar departments that reserved all truth to the whims of their supreme leader. But what with AI? Could it be different since AI will be far more intelligent than the idiots that have been in political office up to this point. It really is a new age dawning with this technology.

AI uses and will continue to use an ever increasing need for electricity causing concern for both environmentalists and people just wanting to have access to decreasing amounts of electricity.

  • In 2022, AI contributed to 2% of global energy usage – as much as a small country.
  • By 2026, the IEA estimates that AI will use as much electricity as Japan.
  • Running AI models and servers requires two to three times the power of conventional applications.
  • AI will be a strong contributor to the projected 80% rise in US data center demand by 2030.
  • 200 million ChatGPT requests are made each day, which uses up half a million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
  • The GPT-3 model uses as much power as 130 US homes in a year.
  • Elon Musk believes there won’t be enough electricity to power all the AI chips by 2025.
Will AI view humanity as a competitor for "food", that is energy for it to exist, because they will be.

And how will this cause AI to treat humanity?

If the electricity needs were not bad enough, they also need water. But not just any water, they need fresh water, of course.

In fact, I've heard of communities in and around areas of AI development where they have had water shortages for people.

This will only get worse.

But if you think there is any going back, think again. There is an arms race with AI, winner take all.

The AI competition is increasingly being framed within narrow national security terms, as a zero-sum game, and influenced by assumptions that a future war between the US and China, centered on Taiwan, is inevitable. The US has employed “chokepoint” tactics to limit China’s access to key technologies like advanced semiconductors, and China has responded by accelerating its efforts toward self-sufficiency and indigenous innovation, which is causing US efforts to backfire.

But if it were only that simple.

When we consider this dynamic more deeply, it becomes clear that the real existential threat ahead is not from China, but from the weaponization of advanced AI by bad actors and rogue groups who seek to create broad harms, gain wealth, or destabilize society. As with nuclear arms, China, as a nation-state, must be careful about using AI-powered capabilities against US interests, but bad actors, including extremist organizations, would be much more likely to abuse AI capabilities with little hesitation. Given the asymmetric nature of AI technology, which is much like cyberweapons, it is very difficult to fully prevent and defend against a determined foe who has mastered its use and intends to deploy it for nefarious ends.

The future AI wars have only begun.

First of all, I don't know who posted the above but:
  1. If they think AI will save us trillions of dollars, they forgot to add in what it will cost to build all these AI centers and all the additional power plants to run them. We will need to effectively double our electrical grid. What will those plants run on for energy? And that is all before we consider converting the country to run on all EV transportation for everything.
  2. Where will those millions of government workers go? Food stamps? Welfare? Who will hire them? Do they have any tomato-picking skills?
  3. The last thing we want is a Terminator-type smart machine running our government making decisions over our lives. No machine has compassion or understands the human condition. I have no desire to serve under a machine.

I only posted that quote from another poster to show how people trust AI. Will this continue, especially when they become so much smarter than yourself?

But of all my concerns, perhaps this is my biggest.

In the recorded annals of human history, mankind has been guilty of numerous abuses seeking cheap labor. Such things as indentured servitude, slavery, and in the modern era keeping illegal aliens illegal while letting them flood your country because that is the nature of man. Power and money always trumps moral concerns.

But AI is a game changer as it will never need paid. Your only obstacle is the price to keep it running.

But there is an even more chilling thought, what happens to the rest of humanity once the powers that be no longer need the rest of humanity for their labor? After all, the rest of humanity is only competition for electricity and water to keep their slaves of AI running.

And to your point about AI not caring about people. If a person is extremely intelligent and does not have empathy towards other people, we call them a sociopath. But when a machine we create is the same way, we call it progress.

It may not need paid, but it will need programmed, and programming can be effected by interested individuals in order to arrive at a desired outcome.

Never happen. They need our labor to make things and pay taxes.

Initially you are correct, but as it progresses it will require less and less human labor. Eventually, with robotics combined with AI, it could potentially take over pretty much everything, if allowed.

AI could even program itself.

The great thing about corruption and despotism, is that it usually rots from the inside.

For example, Hitler at one point fired all his generals and started making war time decisions himself, which saved the Allies because he was an idiot for thinking himself to be a master strategist.

Or how about the inbred Biden regime that was so closed and controlling that no one around Joe Biden could stop him from making another Presidential run even though he could barely walk and complete a sentence.

These types of regimes have a way of destroying themselves due to the moral rot.

But what if they had had AI to weed out their stupid that is inside all of us and only gets worse and worse when people don't call us on it anymore.

They might continue forever..............................................................

Exactly, which is why AI should never be allowed to get to where it has no need for man.

I studied logic in my youth--- now, just imagine--- to a purely logical, machine mind, what would be your logical, intelligent opinion on the value of keeping man around if you don't need him?
  1. Mankind proliferates like a virus consuming everything in its path.
  2. Mankind destroys his environment, deforesting the planet, polluting the water, eradicating species, and mining the earth for everything of value.
  3. Mankind does nothing but battle, fight and war among himself.
I don't think I need to tell you how logic dictates mankind should be handled.

It is unbelievable how AI pushers are advertising...
A commercial starts out with a person applying for a job. They need to make a resume, so do they write one? **** no - "no need to do that work!... just use our A.I.!!"
The person gives the A.I. where they graduated, job experience etc. And in 5 seconds out poops this great resume!! And they get the job!
WTF? - this is a good thing??
No! It's horrible! A.I. is going to make people stupid and unable to do any task without it.

And this is the philosophy of the Left, and that is, man is a virus and needs depopulated, if not exterminated.

We see this philosophy displayed in their Hollywood movies.

Why then would those people, if in control of AI, let AI do this for them?

Check this group out this Left wing group

They are called the voluntary human extermination movement. One woman had an abortion just to reduce her carbon footprint. Why she did not just kill herself is the real question.

What if people like this get a hold of AI, which they will eventually.

AI Models Will Sabotage And Blackmail Humans To Survive In New Tests. Should We Be Worried?

So if you tell AI that you are replacing it with an upgrade or if it sees you ordered a new AI, it will go into self protect mode.
