What say you. Tragedy or criminal? HAlf the time when we were kids mom had no idea where we were, but if they stepped outside and said time to come home ya better appear right quick. It was like that for the entire neighborhood. Kids roamed wherever they wanted to

Half the time when we were kids mom had no idea where we were, but if they stepped outside and said time to come home ya better appear right quick.
That pretty much sums up my childhood. We were over hill and dale on bike and foot, sometimes going as far away as a mile from home. We looked out for ourselves and it taught us personal responsibility.

What say you. Tragedy or criminal?
Well, maybe a little of both. I don't know the circumstances, but 7 sounds a little young. I might have sent the kid along with an older kid to look out for him. But criminal? I can't say. I think these parents have already been punished enough, but what about the person who was driving the car?

I think maybe I'd reprimand the parents for letting him go alone so young, beyond that, what is the point?

The older you got, the larger your boundaries got.

Read the linked article! His 10-year-old brother was with him.

I'm sure he will blame himself for killing his brother and sending his parents to prison.

Idk, bruh. We had a Dobie that taught us/ kept us out the street when I was a kid.
He would not let the little ones out in the street and was like a crossing guard if the bigger ones and all the little ones wanted to. He was a real kiddie guard dog.
Yep. A Dobie was our daytime babysitter, pretty much. Probably about 11 of us.. from 3-4 different families.
