In my opinion this is a good analysis of what has happened in Canada over this last decade or so.

Pierre Poilievre does a good job of explaining why housing is so expensive in Toronto and in other Canadian cities.

I believe that he makes so good points about how this can be turned around.

Pierre Poilievre on the 2025 federal election, immigration, and Canada's place in the world

On this special episode of Hub Dialogues, Pierre Poilievre, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, joins The Hub in studio for his first in-depth, sit-down interview since April’s federal election. The wide-ranging conversation covers the election campaign and its outcome, Canada's position on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and why Poilievre believes Canada needs a policy of negative population growth for some time to reflect housing supply, labour demand and the availability of healthcare and other social services. The Hub is Canada’s fastest growing independent digital news outlet.

In what sense? A shack in Toronto costs more than a mansion in some U.S cities.
Is that due to lack of Supply.. or govt regs and costs to own? Cali taxes the shit out of it people and then regulates constructiin permits making costs skyrocket while lining politicians pockets on the SCAM OF FREE SHIT.

I imagine Toronto the same.

Supply/demand is by far the largest contributor to this. At one time 40-50% of new immigrants moved to Toronto and/or the surrounding area.

Which has occured in the flood of illegals in the U.S. Flood to work no place to stay.

Why L.A. is a dang tent city. Even Silicon Valley high tech workers luve in RVs

Like everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

Good point!

I understood the first question here in the wrong way and I began a reply that I had to copy and paste into another discussion that I do believe is related to how all of this will eventually work out for both Canadians as well as for Americans.

In my opinion future Prime Minister Pierre Poilievre has the potential to become one of the most listened to, famous and well known Canadian Prime Ministers, BY AMERICANS!!!!

Poilievre has no potential whatsoever. The guy is a backbencher and a hack who’s been a member of Parlianent for 20 years and done nothing but collect a paycheck for doing little. He’s never sponsored a bill or held a high ranking cabinet position.

I disagree!

One of my reasons is because M. P. Pierre Poilievre is one of the first Canadians to ever get over five million views on an interview with The Dr. Jordan Peterson.

I like Mr. Pierre Poilievre's anger.... and sarcasm.......
every sentence that he speaks has a pretty serious comedic edge to it..........

I would so love to see Mr. Pierre Poilievre debate politics, history, economics and Modern World Problems with The Jim Carrey or The Russel Peters........... [or again with The Dr. Jordan Peterson would be nice]?
