They are a Balkan/Middle Eastern/Southasian blend according to 23andme*. I saw many results of roma who are my DNA Relatives, they are diverse, they vary from 20% European and 80% Middle Eastern/Southasian to 90% European 10% Middle Eastern and Southasian. I took the time to create a folder for Roma Pictures. I took pictures of Roma from former Yugoslavia because thats where my ancestry is from. In other parts of Europe Roma might look different. Many people just associate them with Indians, because they are dark featured and they are racialised as "other" and "dark"/"black" in Eastern Europe. Well they dont mistake them for SSA but racialised darkness and in common terminology called "black". http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/1369183X.2017.1329007
