What do Romani people (pejoratively called as "Gypsies") look like to you?

I saw many results of roma who are my DNA Relatives, they are diverse, they vary from 20% European and 80% Middle Eastern/Southasian to 90% European 10% Middle Eastern and Southasian. I took the time to create a folder for Roma Pictures. I took pictures of Roma from former Yugoslavia because thats where my ancestry is from. In other parts of Europe Roma might look different. Many people just associate them with Indians, because they are dark featured and they are racialised as "other" and "dark"/"black" in Eastern Europe. Do you think they look like what they are a blend of balkan/middle eastern/southasian or you associate them more with one part of their autosomal make up like lets say indian subcontinent?

I live in Europe and there are Romas living on the streets at the main train stops. They are typically much shorter than the average German. the women always wear skirts, never pants. They look a lot like the people in those pictures but they do not have the glittery or revealing clothes the American Romas seem to favour. Here they are homeless and poor.

I'll admit to knowing next to nothing about the Romani people, and forgive me and educate me if I'm wrong. From my understanding, they are looked down on in some areas, and tend to be less affluent than some. I suspect you fear that their appearance helps reinforce those beliefs.

Some Roma do that, but Roma are pretty diverse by lifestyle. My mum wears pants. Only the traditionally stereotypical Roma are dressed in this fashion etc. There are many completely average Roma.

I think there isnt any written document of how they got there only speculation. According to genetic studies they left India 1.400 years ago. Gypsies arrived in Europe 1,500 years ago, genetic study says
