I know that an awful lot of lefties out there use the excuse of well Charlie Kirk believed that gun deaths needed to happen for there to be change as an excuse to mock his death, but the thing is that first of all nobody deserves to be murdered for simply just voicing their opinion and second of all, if Charlie Kirk knew that his death would be the thing that woke up our country in making sure that the good guys kept their second amendment rights so they can stop the bad guys, and the hatred in our country has to end I think that if he were here today his response would be good. It's about time.

Again this is a tragedy that never should have happened in the first place but you better believe that he would be honored if his death would be the thing that finally woke up our country in order to prevent things like this from happening in the future. Rest in Paradise Charlie ❤️. Still heartbroken though. 💔

I've not specifically heard Kirk's views on guns that gun deaths needed to happen or what change would occur, but it sounds like he was speaking a fundamental truth.
  • In a society of freedom to own guns, there WILL be a few who abuse that freedom and use it to wrongly kill others.
  • In a society free to speak their mind, some few will say very bad things.
  • In a society free to live and eat as they choose, some few will make bad living choices and eat all the worst foods for their health.
Where you have freedom, you will always have a small fraction of people who cross the line of reason. Question is: do we really want to give up all that freedom brings just to gain a tiny bit of false security? Because the fate of a people not free to defend itself, speak as they think, and live as they wish to, is a far, far worse world than the one we have now.

BTW, Kirk's views were not infallible, even he realized that sometimes he just got it wrong! After all, he was only 31 years old. Apparently he got into a debate with Tucker Carlson whom Charlie vociferously disagreed with on some issue, but eventually resolved that Tucker was right, had a point, and Kirk reversed his position.

That is called 'learning.'

OP acts as if Kirk was some kind of prophet. No, not at all.

He was just a man of some influence that died a horrible public death at the hands of a trans/leftism influenced assassin with that purpose in mind. More brainwashed than crazy. A Manchurian Candidate if you will.

I can't read anymore into it than that other than to say it certainly woke a lot of folks up to the danger our society faces at the hands of violent leftism/trans activism and why it should be stamped out completely using any necessary force under the law.

I'm not going to give up my rights to be "safe". If your rights aren't safe you're still not safe.

Giving up the second amendment is most definitely unsafe.

Kirk: The freedom to own firearms is worth the cost created by those who abuse that freedom.

His statement is correct, but also irrelevant -- the right to keep and bear arms as protected by the 2nd is not subject to means-end or interest balancing tests..
That is:
The 2nd Amendment necessarily and intentionally takes certain policy choices off the table; any possible positive effect of any such policy is irrelevant.

Kirk's... critics... are happy he died from a gunshot so they can push their mindless anti-gun agenda.

Second Amendment rights are not going anywhere.
