My thing is that I just outgrew most popular music in the 80's/90's, but the ones you mentioned were some of my favorites. I liked "Far Away Eyes" and "Shattered"

I always thought that the intro to Gimme Shelter was one of the best pieces of music ever made.

Did you ever hear the story of the miscarriage of Merry Clayton, one of the female backup singers on Gimme Shelter? I wonder if there is an element of evil about that song, embodied in the tragedy of Merry, singing so forcefully about rape and murder, and then going home and losing her baby.
