The Pacific “Blob” being blamed for these things washing up on the beaches. I'm waiting to read where Man is responsible for this.

Close. It's a sea hare.

While both nudibranches and sea hares are called "sea slugs", there are some important differences. Sea hares are generally bigger, and are harmless algae eaters. Nudibranches are all carnivorous, and can possess dangerous venom.
