We need beauty to counter the ugly engaged in over politics. Check out South Dakota. This and North Dakota are two states I have not been to. I would love to hear about places there to go from past visitors.

I visited 35 states last month. ND was one. I was impressed with the happiness, competence and friendliness of every person I had the pleasure of interacting with in ND. Beautiful state and great people.

I wonder if you set a record? Idaho also impresses me for the happiness, competence and friendly people.

Is that a real photo? Why do they call South Dakota the "badlands"? Mt. Rushmore is on my bucket list as soon as they decide to add Reagan.

They have a badlands national park in SD. IMHO, Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l. Park in ND is a far superior example of badlands. Badlands also exist between El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM. Mt. Rushmore is a very impressive sculpture--even without Reagan. LOL
