We just had fiber optic cable laid to our house a couple months ago -a year behind schedule- and there was absolutely no mention of any federal program to credit that, in the announcements we received from the ISP.

From what I’ve seen, many of those “unserved” areas don’t necessarily want these projects. Especially not if they’re being run overhead rather than underground
