Looks like all their current inventory has been sold and is in dealer's hands.

Better snag one (preferably not the current S&W production) before prices go up.

Not really surprised as the licensed S&W "Walthers" are not very good....Look for German made or Interarms branded examples of the PP, PPK, PPK/S.

The PPK is an old design. It could use some updating. It is not drop safe unless the slide safety is on.
I have a Sig P232, which is really a modernized Walther PP.

I would buy a PPK with an aluminum frame, drop safety, and a Sig style decocker rather than the slide safety.

The Glock 42 is a very soft shooting .380 in a similar size. The Ruger Max is also on my list.
I still carry my Ruger LCP gen 1 with a few custom parts.

A classic pistol, to be sure.
James Bond comes to mind.
Not my particular cup of tea but it has a guaranteed place in the Pistol Hall of Fame.

LCP is a nice little gun that fits into your pocket, I bought mine with already installed viridian laser and it's super accurate

just the laser alone will spook most people, they know what they are going to be hit with

The laser shows the calibre/cartridge?

no.........the laser shows where it's going to hit you if you advance

um, deterrent much?

I carry either a Springfield 1911 .45 ACP or an FN 5.7
super heavy gun and fringe gun with rare expensive ammo

there are better alternatives out there

They are nice, though. Kind of like a very fine watch. I always keep 1. Used to have 2.

The Ruger LCP is a steal at $179

That's only because you live in a civilised country.

That's right...does not need the firepower, it is kinda safe there. Here we need one in the armrest, one in the glove box, one in the trunk and one on the seat next to you.

If you want a car seat gun, make sure you can shoot it with one hand. A trunk gun does no good if you can't get to it.
50 rounds and no magazine footprint! About 60% of the same penetration as a 5.56 AR 7.5 inch pistol. Just too bad it does not eject downwards in the car cabin like a FN PS90.

...and don't blast your goddamn ears out in a car!

Dump the G42, get a Hellcat or SW Bodyguard 2.0. I had a G42 years ago. Jammed like hell. Low cap as well. Time to move on, bub.
