In a few months Obama's administration will be a history. They started the war in Syria, but they obviously can't end it (or may be don't want to). ISIS in Syria would be done several month ago if Washington were not saving al-Nusra from Russian bombs. All those tales about "moderate opposition" are needed to stop Russia from progress in Syria. Now just about everybody understands: Washington is keeping al-Nusra and supplying all kinds weapons to it (regardless of how many lives it costs) just to remove Assad. Russia is in their way. So, Russia is a bad guy now. Forget ISIS, it's "contained"!

The concept of “moderate rebels” in Syria is a joke. If an armed group of people in USA tried to pull out a coup, would Washington recognize it as a “moderate”? Not likely.
Washington has to admit: their “moderate rebels” and al-Qaeda are the same things.
