So today's question is : who would be truly good candidates for Independents, Democrats and Republicans?
What would you like to see, and how do you want to be spoken to (and on which topics), by political candidates for the primaries?

I would like, for the Democrats; 1 black or white business man and/or ex-military or ex-intelligence commander, smart, compassionate, but also strong and running on a very smart heart and mind.

For the Republicans, the same.

For the Independents, each to their own pie-slice, the same.

Because frankly, dear women "recently" promoted to girl power and electability powers, during any real cold war or conventional war or nuclear war, women crumble during the (mental and emotional) onslaught pre-cursor to actual violence happening during large scale moments.

I say what I am about to say with the stipulation that a "good candidate" is not the same thing as one the tard mob will ever accept.

Liz Cheney would be an outstanding candidate, and so would Adam Kinzinger.

Cheney has a better conservative voting record than most of her detractors.

MAGA has gone full socialist, so I have no idea what party Cheney belongs in.

Independent, I guess.

As for who will actually be in the running in 2028, probably Marco Rubio and JD Vance.

I will be skipping the 2028 election, as I have been for a long time. But if you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose between the two candidates the Republicans and Democrats puke up, I'd have to say, "Pull the trigger".

True. For the Dems it will take somebody with the money to get any momentum started. My pick would be Pritzker out of Illinois. Governors experience of a large diverse state. Plenty of money connections.

Any Republican candidate would have to be separated from the maga movement to be taken seriously, as that is now exposed as a caricature of a cartoon. They would also have to be divorced from the Heritage Foundation, which is also a caricature of the Monopoly Game banker.

What's good for the Dems right now, is this is all that the Republicans have got.

I’m happy there won’t be anyone named Trump, Clinton or Biden on the ballot (or at least there shouldn’t be). MAGA fatigue will almost certainly deliver (or should) someone who is more sane by sheer default. I think in some respects, whom we elect in 2028 will have to spend a lot of time reminding the nation how great we were before the crazy uncles took over in 2025. So I don’t expect much in the first term. If they get a second term, hopefully the goal is par golf; a custodial POTUS.

I don't want another Trump figure to be President. I voted for Trump, and I would hope that in 2028 the Republicans learn from their mistakes, focus on affordability and stick to it, otherwise, they are going to lose.

Would I ever vote Democrat? Very unlikely.
