2014 Gubrnatorial Elections: Polls, Projections, Results - Election Projection
Site predicts: 30 Red and 20 blue. I think those numbers are accurate, but the numbers are off. I can't see the GOP winning Hawaii. I just don't see it. However, I think the GOP takes FL. Crist lost to Rubio for the full state senate seat, I don't see why he won't lose again! IL is fore-sure going RED!

Maine is a possible pickup for the democrats

Ohio and Michigan will probably be kinda competitive.

I do think Rauner, the rich businessman, will win in Illinois. He has some small negatives, but Quinn has BIG negatives, higher taxes and businesses moving out.

I know both, and I like both, but I'm not stupid, I will vote for Rauner.

Anything is possible. Look at California, they've toggled between Republican and Democrat governors. In fact even Hawaii had a Republican governor for 8 years between 2002-2010.

Rhode Island has a strange history with many instances of Strong Republican governors paired with almost 100% Democrat legislatures. The determining factor seems to be the relative strength of the candidates for governors. When Republicans have won they typically have been strong minority leaders in either city government or the legislature.....and paired against a Democrat party hack who would have made Obama look like a seasoned pro.
