This response in the article is even more odd.
Men have been beating women and children from time immemorial.
This person wants to make it the responsibility of every State/Country.
How does one make the Imams, or preachers, or whoever from preaching beating their wives, if one does not have any lawful control over those people ?

Is Israel supposed to set up laws over areas A and B and Gaza prohibiting wife beating?

How is Israel going to impose that?

And is it not going over the governing rights of the PA and Hamas to
create their own laws against those beatings, and make sure that law breakers pay the penalty?

Arab Honor demands that they beat or even kill their wives or children.

How is Israel or anyone else is going to force a change in that kind of thinking?

Well, duh.

I can see plenty of evidence that Judaism, the Jewish people and the legal system and government of Israel all condemn the very idea that it is permissible to beat women. Even in the clearly demonizing articles which you posted, the Ultra-Orthodox condemn the violence and insist that man be punished for it. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot. But then, no culture or society is yet perfect in its treatment of women.

But thank you for illuminating the point of the OP -- the cause of men beating their wives is not the proximity of Jews. You take the position that it is "religious nuttery". We agree.

Now, how would you address the "religious nuttery" of Islam in Palestinian and Gaza society? How would you solve the problem?
