are the ukrainians really shooting down all those russian missiles? how effective are the present missile defense systems

The only air defense missiles I've heard discussed were the top of the line "NASAMS" I think those are used to protect the White House. I doubt the claims that they are downing the great majority of these incoming cruise missiles.
