"Giving into multiple massive street demonstrations last year and petitions gathering millions of signatures, British PM Keir Starmer this week withdrew his demand that all UK citizens have a digital ID dubbed the BritCard, a high-tech link to a master distributed database which can be scaled up to include unlimited amounts of information on a person, including a facial recognition file. This paves the way to 24/7 tracking of a person’s movements, activities, purchases, contacts, medical and financial records, online activity, and vaccination status.
In the US, Trump keeps tightening the screws for people to get Real ID by imposing a $45 fine on air travelers who do not have it, a passport, or passport card.

Starmer and globalist proponents of universal digital ID, such as Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, and the World Economic Forum, inevitably paint the technology as only a benefit to mankind, using glowing terms such as fostering “inclusivity,” “safety,” and matchless convenience to make life “easier.” Immigration control is also cited as a goal, even though previous controls worked well as long as they were enforced.
Damian Stirrett, General Manager at the AI company ServiceNow, told Technology Magazine:
“It is clear that the ambitious implementation of digital ID can be a catalyst for real public service transformation – leading to easier, better lives for its citizens and a more productive state.”
Bill Gates, who was behind trials on young girls in India for the anti-cervical cancer drug Gardasil, says he is behind digital ID because it will be a tool for fighting poverty. Neither the girls nor their parents could read or sign a consent form. Hundreds of poor Indian girls were killed or maimed by Gates’ Gardasil trials, but the drug went on to make billions in profits in Western countries.
Last year a BBC reporter demonstrated how efficient the Chinese digital ID-based, facial recognition system could be for other purposes besides fighting poverty. Such as running down anyone who speaks out against government corruption. When the reporter in an experiment tried to disappear into the crowd, he was tracked down in seven minutes (below.)
Global billionaires have made no secret of their desire for a China-like global system which “monitors” and “tracks” people in the Western world. Klaus Schwab wrote in his book in 2019, The Fourth Industrial Revolution:
“Any package, pallet or container can now be equipped with a sensor, transmitter or radio frequency identification (RFID) tag that allows a company to track where it is as it moves through the supply chain—how it is performing, how it is being used, and so on….In the near future, similar monitoring systems will also be applied to the movement and tracking of people.”
The foundation of the system will be a network of millions of surveillance cameras able to pick out and identify faces at hundreds of yards anywhere. Because the technology standards are highly specified, national systems will be able to be integrated globally.
AI now makes the management of such huge amounts of data possible. On his first day in office, one of Trump’s first acts was to announce the Stargate data center project, a $500 billion plan to build massive data centers of the kind now used in China to hold enormous amounts of information on every citizen.
At Trump’s side were Big Tech billionaires Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Not present in person but also heavily involved in Stargate is Palantir’s Peter Thiel. Palantir is the AI company which made AI “kill lists” for Gaza used by Israel.

All digital ID technology will eventually tie into a CBDC (central bank digital currency) which would monitor purchases and other financial activity in real time. The ability to conduct transactions could be shut off at any time according to rules and mandates dictated by the government, such as not receiving a certain vaccine on time.

Little known to most Americans, when they join Real ID, they are giving every bit of their personal data now and in the future to a controversial private third party contractor to the US government, IDEMIA. IDEMIA has been accused by human rights organizations of helping the Egyptian military government in its crackdown on dissent, through its mass surveillance and tracking technology.
It is IDEMIA, formerly Morpho, which built the Chinese government’s authoritarian facial recognition-based surveillance and control system.
Amnesty International reported in 2020:
“Morpho, which is now part of Idemia, a French multinational, was awarded a contract to supply facial recognition equipment directly to the Shanghai Public Security Bureau in 2015. The company specializes in security and identity systems, including facial recognition systems and other biometric identification products.”
Although the DHS at present says that Real ID will be required, according to a TSA January 14, 2025 rules document, for (1) accessing Federal facilities, (2) boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft, (3) entering nuclear power plants, buried in this clause are also the words “and any other purposes that the Secretary of Homeland Security shall determine.” Thus the language of the Real ID Act of 2005 is broad and vague, and unconstitutionally grants the Executive Branch powers far beyond those enumerated in the US Constitution.
Australia is now mandating that almost all Internet uses require a log-in with a digital ID similar to the US Real ID, purportedly to protect minors from inappropriate web content. However, the same technology will allow the government to record all Internet searches. The US Real ID Act of 2005 authorizes the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to make the same requirements, in it’s “any other purposes” clause.
None other than Bill Gates is one of the biggest proponents of abolishing online anonymity so that the government can track any comment or opinion to its source, belittling what he calls “the notion of the First Amendment.” This end the “notion” of the anonymous tip to law enforcement or media of government or any other high level corruption, or anonymous criticism of Bill Gates.
