That's not enough. The U.S should demand replacing the development ports that China was working on at the canal. This would ensure the U.S has control over it in times of war, trade embargo attempts etc.

As previously reported Panama is a strategic spot and a choke point if the U.S. wants to shift it's ships from Atlantic to Pacific or vice a versa. Controlling the Canal is very important to China. Don't forget the Belt and Road Programs in Brazil, Ecuador, Guyana and Peru

Not all foreigners, just enemy states who decided to cheat in the WTO. Decoupling is going to be required and/or major tariff increases. China is.getting off easy, they have the largest trade surplus in world history. This has to bother Trump but make China and the MSS very happy.

I should have been more selective with my intent in that post. I did NOT mean to offend U! It's so easy for me to forget that Canadians are legally considered foreigners but in practice there is precious little diff if any between Americans & our Canadian neighbors, at least between British Columbia folks & Washington state folks for sure.
