These uneducated, poorly informed sobs booing the U.S anthem again. How many of them have jobs thanks to the U.S economy? How much harm have we avoided from foreign enemies due to their military?
There are always disagreements between nations going back decades, this isn't new. One should never boo another persons anthem, I don't care if it's China, N Korea, Russia or any other nation. You don't need to stand, you don't need to cheer, but don't boo.
This is getting more attention in hockey circles than MSM in the U.S (though I did see some articles the first few days this happened). They even had the announcer ask people to respect the anthems but many of them ignored him. There are many American tourists in the city and country bringing nice American cash over and they pull this?
Not cool.
Saturday the U.S play Canada so it should be an interesting test for the boo-birds. Ironically, this event didn't have much interest in Canada until the tariffs applied by Trump. NOW Canadians realize that their is more to life than government and hockey? Maybe innovation and freedom would be nice.

MONTREAL ā Fans in Montreal booed the U.S. national anthem prior to the Americansā first game of the 4 Nations Face-Off against Finland on Thursday night.
The negative reaction to "The Star-Spangled Bannerā came even after the public address announcer made an announcement asking the crowd to show respect for the anthems and the players from either country.
āOur goal is to make sure that we create an environment and that hockey represents an opportunity to bring people together, and I think people understand that,ā NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said Wednesday at a news conference prior to the start of the tournament. āIn this building, initially there was some booing a couple of games ago and the club made an announcement asking people to stop and show respect for two great countries, and it stopped. And thatās what we expect.ā
