There’s another ad that’s caught my attention only because it plays this song in the background:



Few people today understand what a talented artist he was.

There’s a story going around that may or may not be true. It’s how Frank Sinatra was responsible for breaking racial segregation in Vegas hotels because of Sammy. In his first appearance at the Sands, Frank invited some of his friends – who were known by journalists as The Rat Pack – up on stage to perform. They were Dean Martin., Sammy, Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. After the show, he invited them – and some hot babes – up to his suite. The hotel manager told him that Sammy wasn’t allowed outside of the show room. Frank was livid and told him, more or less, “If Sammy can’t come up to my room with me and my friends, we’re outta here.” Segregation supposedly ended that night.

Back to the subject. Any of you hear songs like that you want to mention?
