This was especially common among those posting anti-Israel and antisemitic messages, many of whom pretended to be reporting their eyewitness accounts of IDF atrocities from Gaza, when they were thousands of miles away. Now Elon Musk has added a new feature to X, that correctly identifies the place where the poster is located. Commentary: The fake-genocide narrative has always rested on two pillars: fabricated atrocity stories and fraudulent fundraising. Both are now collapsing in real time. Nigerian scam rings, Pakistani troll farms, and European Hamas sympathizers have been masquerading as destitute Gazans to extract money and sympathy. Every dollar sent to these impostors was a dollar stolen from genuine humanitarian aid and a bullet added to the blood libel against Israel.
