In a Republic, actually
‘Trump’s rampage through government agencies, especially those devoted to science, health and the economy, has left some so severely damaged that fixing what’s broken might require the establishment of a Cabinet-level post to oversee the repair job.

Consider the state of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where five top officials resigned or were forced out late last month — including CDC Director Susan Monarez, who was fired after less than a month on the job after tangling with Health and Human Affairs Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Anyone tasked by a future administration with rebuilding the CDC, which once set the global gold standard for public health, will have to be told: “You know you’ll be starting from scratch, right?”’

It could take decades to repair the damage caused by Trump – indeed, some of Trump’s damage will be irreparable.

Very true. The real damage will be on two fronts; first we are losing markets because of the tariffs. There are economic reasons to be sure but there are also just flat out convenience issues. Get paid a few cents less for your widgets but you don't have to worry about whether or not you can sell them. Any businessperson will tell you that when you lose a customer, you have to find two to replace them because you have to keep growing. The second front is the brain drain of civic responsibility. This was on the wane to start with but Trump has stamped out any and all reasons for going into public service.

The GOP will be running the country for the next 12 years. Democrats have no leaders or solutions. They are the party that defends criminals, open borders, gender absurdity, inflation, a senile impaired president, auto pen forgeries, Biden dementia cover up and Russia collusion fraud. Hearings and indictments are coming just in time for the midterms.
Millions have fled democrats states and the 2030 census which will not count illegals will remove at least 15 seats in the house and shift them to GOP states. EC votes will also be given to GOP states. Democrats face a massive loss of power and there isnt a damn thing they can do about it.

Trump is shifting the economy from debt based inflationary massive expansion of government to a wealth based private sector economy.
The democrat party is in a death spiral

Trumps administration is 99% executive orders. A new President can erase that on day one.

In the case of the CDC, do you think that they acted in the best interests of Americans or the best interest of a political agenda during COVID? Because what we have found out in the aftermath shows plenty of people that their decisions, like keeping schools closed even with evidence from other countries showing that it wasn't necessary, wasn't acting on the best for its citizens. Consulting with Randi Weingarden to set CDC school policy?

In light of current events “won’t last forever” is incendiary talk.

Especially since baby of us don’t want those things rebuilt, and will fight against that reconstruction tooth and nail.

The CDC got everything wrong during covid.

15th post
Best interest of the people; except they were undermined by the President.
You're kidding right? Like, years after the pandemic, only a partisan idealogue would say that the CDC acted in the best interest of the people. So, how was the CDC undermined by Trump and how did they correct that once Trump was out of office? COVID was the best chance for the CDC to wash itself in competent glory. They didn't come anywhere close to doing that. If they were in the highest echelons of the CDC then, that kind of "brain drain" is needed. A government bureaucrat that has decades of service isn't proof of competency by itself.

Meanwhile, back in reality, what happened was this: the CDC was encouraging social distancing while the DHS was forcing everybody to fly back into 13 airports from overseas. The result was human gridlock during a pandemic
