IMO, I would operate now on the assumption that they are all dead already. At the rate things are going, even if some few still live, they will be dead by the time we get them.

IMO, far better to go in and just GIT ER DONE.

1. Hammer Hamas, take them out ASAP.
2. Find the hostages, if any survive or are still alive.
3. Take away the leverage having these hostages provides for Hamas and maybe next time, they'll think twice before taking more.
