Trump to announce Space Command is moving from Colorado to Alabama

Trump is set to announce U.S. Space Command's move to Alabama, reversing a Biden-era decision to keep it at its temporary headquarters in Colorado.

Alabama and Colorado have long battled to claim Space Command because it has significant implications for the local economy. The site also has been a political prize, with elected officials from both Alabama and Colorado asserting their state is the better location.

Good, another blue state loses out....I posted last year I think it was about how the locals don't want to move. Oh well.

I would think Colorado with its long freezing winter months isn't a good place for Space Command equipment and personal.
Whereas, relocating to Alabama's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville is a smart move. The infrastructure and facilities are already there because the locaction has been an intragral part of our space program for decades.

I suspect it's a political football now because of it's small size.
