Trump admin to spend 20 billion dollars to prop up Argentinian economy so their president can get re-elected.

This is in the context of his tariff war that has caused Argentinian agriculture exports to supplant American exports to China.

"If he loses, we are not going to be generous with Argentina," Trump said of Milei, whose party faces a tough midterm election on Oct. 26.

American soybean farmer shares his thoughts on that:

Apparently MAGA stands for making Argentina great again.

Maintain and extend inroads into Latin America. Ensure China is denied access.

Making China buy up Argentinian products instead of American products, while we are spending billions to prop them up?...thats your idea of a good plan? :cuckoo:
No China is a predatory lender and will take over Argentina

America First....right after we fix Argentine and their elections for Trump's pal Milei. 🤡

I'll take Trump over Xi, that manatee looking ****, any day. And really, does anyone seriously think an intelligent person will take financial or strategic advice from a Marxist Democrat? Hell, I don't even trust them to make a witty placard this weekend, for their gathering of dipshits, ironically named No Kings. King wanna bes bitching about kings. Imagine that.

Yes, I have heard about that crony angle but haven't seen any solid reporting on who's wallet we are bailing here.

The Argentinian President is in deep do do, his economy is tanking.... This $20bn won't save it and they are going bust... Good luck at getting your money back...

From the dribbles on this forum, I don't favor it. Certainly would be cool for the whole story be told.

China has ALREADY burned 23 billion on Argentina currency swaps.

Now that China well has dried up, Argentina has turned to playing the other fool.

Just admit it, you cultists will line up to carry water for Trump no matter what he does.
Argentina has fooled itself. It was prosperous until the Peron's came to power. Socialism is difficult to get rid of as it's something people believe is owed to them. We have a good percentage of that here.

Got nothing to say, I see.
We will see the results at some point. We have given a lot of money over the many decades to other nations. Policies of the past come back to haunt the present or making change leaves a temporary void.
