In WA right now there is a push to ban ALL plastic bags--right after they enacted a higher charge for plastic bags and a greater charge yet for plastic bags over 4 mil thick. LOL, the original idea was to ban 'single use' plastic bags. Now they don't want you to reuse thicker bags. Get this. The new proposal also wants to charge 20 cents per bag for PAPER bags. WTF does this money go for? How is a charge on a biodegradeable paper bag improve the environment? Also, if they're so concerned about micro plastics in the environment, why is it we aren't banning disposable diapers? The landfill are being filled with them.
