All US weapons deliveries to Ukraine stop after Trump gives order to shut off aid
U.S. weapons deliveries to Ukraine came to an abrupt halt on Monday evening after President Donald Trump ordered a pause on all aid to the war-torn country, the Pentagon confirmed on Tuesday.
After the order was given, all U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine came to a stop, as of 6 p.m. on Monday evening, according to a defense official. Planes carrying supplies en route to Ukraine would have had to turn around, the official said.
The pause came days after a meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office on Friday devolved into a shouting match as Trump and Vice President JD Vance berated the Ukrainian leader, claiming he had not thanked the U.S. enough for its support. Trump dismissed Zelenskyy from the White House, canceling a lunch and press conference planned for the visit.
And you know it is a bad move when Marine LaPen says what Trump did was inhumane. And if a cult member thinks I'm making this up:
Marine Le Pen called Trump's decision to stop supplying weapons to Kiev "inhuman".
Marine Le Pen condemned the suspension of US military support for Ukraine. The leader of the parliamentary faction of France's largest opposition party, the National Association, considers Trump's decision "rude" and "inhuman." At the same time, the former presidential candidate confirmed that she does not support sending French troops to Ukraine.
"I condemn the cruelty of this decision," said Marine Le Pen in an interview with Le Figaro on Tuesday, March 4.
The leader of the right-wing opposition reaffirmed her "unwavering support for Ukraine led by Volodymyr Zelensky," and also condemned the decision of US President Donald Trump.
"It is extremely important that they do not leave Ukraine at the right moment for a turning point… This is very cruel to the Ukrainian soldiers who devoted themselves to the patriotic defense of their homeland," Le Pen said.
