"Man, this is embarrassing for this Justice Department guy," commented Weinberger.

"At one point Jackson asked whether the new Trump administration objected to the CFPB's stated mission of "protecting consumers from unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices."

"The DOJ confessed it didn't know, which lead to 'laughter ensuing" in the courthouse, wrote Weinberger"

The future of the Trump/Musk/MAGA agenda sure looks clowny.
Where do they get these supposed great lawyers?

What’s truly idiotic is Trump’s unwarranted, wrongheaded opposition to the CFPB.

What’s not funny is that Trump doesn’t care that consumers are subject to unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices.

Raw Sewage agitprop....

Since he has often been the one leading those practices.

Today the Trump admin is cancelling leases all over the country.
Some of those leases are where NOAA and the SEC are located.

What's the point of starting a thread with a Rawstory link unless you like ridicule?

They're not stupid, they just have no way of sounding intelligent while defending Trump.
LOL. Let me suggest an answer "no your honor, we just believe that other agencies such as the FTC and SEC do it better"

In court, you don’t just make things up. If you’re going to give an answer, it has to be based on reality.

I don’t think the Trump administration has any idea what the believe beyond “CFPB” is bad.

When they left, they realized again Trump‘s still in office for another 46 months🤣 then the laughter stopped, and the tears started again!😉

Most people laugh at "raw story" stories. Americans cheered at Clinton/Gore rhetoric about downsizing government agencies and they even cheered for Barry Hussein for the same stuff. The sad reality is that the mainstream media isn't about to let go of their place as the propaganda arm of hatred for the United States and the agenda of the current president of the United States

The CFPB is just another redundant agency dreamed up by commiecrats to increase the size of the federal government. See if this mission statement sounds familiar:

The FTC’s mission is protecting the public from deceptive or unfair business practices and from unfair methods of competition through law enforcement, advocacy, research, and education. Our work to protect consumers and promote competition touches the economic life of every American.

Instead of whining based on emotion you should focus on the real numbers involved. Tax dollars spent compared to results for taxpayers.
