At that point in Trump's first term he made some poor decisions based on the recommendations of establishment hacks. Trump was an outsider and the establishment hacks took full of advantage of that early. No worries, that silliness will not happen again. To be fair, Wray did appear on paper to be a safe choice, his true duplicitous nature was not revealed until later.
