My guess is that the CCP fear a repeat of Reagans successes when he defeated Communism the first time. It has been Reagans lasting legacy for which he will be known for 1000 years from now. They don't want this to be Trumps cherry on top which would keep him in GOP annals of folklore forever.
China and the CCP demand control, internal and external. Before any negotiation you can be sure they will demand pre-conditions which are designed maintain their power because ultimately that is ALL they care about. America shouldn't agree to many if any pre-conditions, you are America ffs act like it finally.
China officials will say and promise anything, as they did with the Philippines and Spratly Islands only to take it right in Obamas face without a care in the world, probably with full knowledge via their numerous assets in the Dem Party I'm sure that Obama wouldn't do anything (repeated with the Red Line in Syria of course...).
They laugh at U.S exchange listing rules, they provide arbitrary numbers such as "we are growing at 5.4%". Suuuuuure you are. They even said they were growing during a complete shutdown during covid. Who believes this stuff?
Wall Street doesnt care because if the stocks collapse they and their large retail investors won't be holding the bag, the sucker average citizen will.
The media keeps asking Trump about "China, China, China" tariffs because they KNOW if he succeeds, than communism will fail again. China wants to release the pressure on their governments, contain their citizens, bide their time until Trump is gone and then start a big war with far more power and leverage than if Trumps hold the line.
I've no issue with citizens if China, the lies that the government have utilized to hurt the West have been endless and their military build up is only for one desired outcome. Trump has them applied, he should be in no rush all because his position is very popular with average voter. This upsets the Establishment who want easy money through arbitrage, slave labour and poison killing American citizens who would defy their world view, replaced by the poor and unskilled from parts unknown.
Trump has to hold the line. Let China try and expand into the EU and they will eliminate the entire Middle Class of Europe as they tried with the U.S. The EU know this and they cannot allow it.
