There may be a much bigger threat brewing in Russia. Not to sidetrack this thread but I have to think Trump has bigger issues to deal with. Russia/Ukraine may make the Israel/Hamas war look like a walk in the park by comparison

I can't imagine that world leaders and their intelligence agencies aren't aggressively looking to recruit from within his government as a fall back option in case Putin is serious about WWIII.

The saying regarding the Holocaust "never again" should take on greater meaning with the dangers of global nuclear fallout. I can't imagine why some in Russia wouldn't want peace at this time when they have to know that the stakes are too high for it to be left to chance and the top of the food chain would be at the greatest risk.

These are old men in poor health, and that affects intellect. In other words, they are prone to making irrational decisions. Invading Ukraine was an irrational decision on Putin's part, and invading Taiwan may be an irrational decision on the part of Xi. In the meantime, we have our own problem with an old leader already showing many signs of declining mental stability.

I was on base in uniform when we stopped the Soviet ships off of Cuba. Now I am getting the same feeling about our future I had at that time. And it is not a good one.

What silly shit. The people that are doing their best to mimic the camps we saw in Germany during WW2 are the MAGAts. After all, who is censuring what books can be read, who is declaring this a Christian nation when our Constitution specifically forbids government favoring any religion. We were also a more united country during the Soviet Missile Cuba Crisis that had us on the brink. We had political differences but I think the majority of the US was against Socialism, Communism. And while President Kennedy clearly had detractors and haters, I doubt any of those people put the UN or gave two shits what the rest of the world thought of the US. Finally, we did not have any faction of any volume significance apologizing for America’s greatness or superiority.

Today, we are not united and a significant portion of the US would back or support other countries and globalists over the President.

From what I understand Trump is telling the EU to go fight Russia if they want to and buy American weapons to do it. I like the idea. If America stays out of the war maybe it won't go nuclear. But, nothing is guaranteed and living each day to its fullest isn't a bad idea today. I am also getting nervous that Trump may start a war with Venezuela. We really don't need another forever war costing trillions and gaining nothing. America desperately needs to invest in America at this time. Hopefully Trump hasn't lost his way.
