The Trump administration abruptly halted “all immigration requests” from Afghan nationals on Wednesday night, hours after an Afghan man was arrested following the shooting of two National Guard soldiers near the White House.

Asylum laws were written at a time when the idea of someone asking for asylum was for a single guy/gal who was a dissident in his country.

Think of some guy or gal who defected from a Soviet sports team or such getting whisked away to apply for asylum after they defect. That is what the laws were written for.

The laws were never written for the scenario of MILLIONS of people simply walking their way across our borders or flown in from some Islamic shit-hole by the hundreds of thousands.

No country has changed their laws regarding asylum in the face of this onslaught, and every country that is being overrun is held captive by its own judiciary enforcing these (now) arcane laws.

Until we change the law(s) to reflect this new reality, we are stuck with either putting up with millions more coming across the border seeking asylum, or some dumb shit POTUS like Biden flying them in and then using our laws to make the process as painful as possible with the leftists yelling at full throat for the asylum seeker's "rights".
