China has been on a downturn for a number of years as domestic conditions in China continue to deteriorate.

Per Gordon Chang, the Chinese military are getting more dangerous. Xi has little to no control over the military. It's in Xi's own, personal interest to start a war because that would thwart his domestic enemies.

Trump's tariffs will hurt China's revenue in exports to the U.S. and help to defund Xi's out of control military as well as Xi's own plans to start a war.

Here are some supporting quotes from the jump link provided to the source.

"Domestic conditions in China will deteriorate across the board regardless of fluctuations in external conditions. "

"The return of Donald Trump to the White House could usher in a Sino-U.S. “trade war 2.0,” continued technology restrictions, and other developments that would prove detrimental to the CCP regime. "

"Political rumors about Xi “losing power” or facing serious threats to his authority will likely continue to circulate in overseas Chinese-speaking circles and even in the Western media."

China has been exploiting on trade for too long. A great civilization with an impressive history, lovely people when they are allowed to be free.

The type of trade abuses and threats to the West and America in particular must not be allowed to continue. Trump will handle them, all the dead who OD'ed from poison demand justice in one form or another.

We always hear how China is the big threat, how much more efficient they are, etc. from the Democrat-left in America. A small 'peek under the hood' with some real information shows something quite different and, I believe Trump knows exactly what he is doing. Communism is ruining China like it ruins every society it touches.

Typical progression.......First it's the rebels, then the radicals, then the organized radicals, then the Marxists, then the Communists then, everybody dies.

Xi may look like Winnie The Pooh but don't let that fool you. He is an old school dictator who is capable of anything.

You got THAT from my post? When did I say he was like Winnie The Pooh?

It’s really amazing how you can disregard most of what I posted and come back with that tripe.

Good interview about China by an expert Frank Dikotter, for those who want to actually learn something about the real China instead of media headlines or Wikipedia.

Their biggest problem is they grew too much too fast, much like Japan did decades ago and now their ships have entered the doldrums and may be there for a while.
