When police refuse to be honest, how and why would they expect anyone else to be?

I don't know, maybe I am naive but was there ever a time in which police agencies and their members were honest and had integrity, or am I just romanticizing about the police as I viewed them as a kid?

Toronto police initially told the pedestrian and her lawyer that the incident would be classified as an "incident" and not a collision, initially denying the officer in the cruiser had struck her.

I looked at that video and could not tell if there was contact or not. It was close. There may well have been; I don't know.
