Toddler Calls 911 For Doughnuts

This is cute but I'm not so sure that they should be rewarding this behavior. As you can bet that it's going to happen again now.

I remember being a kid, maybe 4 or 5 and I just dialed 0. Operator picked up and I hang up. I might have done it twice, I can't remember.

Two minutes later the phone rings and my mom who was doing dishes walks into the room, picks it the phone and explains that I must have dialed.

Yeah, I got in shyte that day.

My oldest called the child abuse hotline.
The guy on the other end said, where's your dad?"
He's sitting down
"what's he doing??
Just watching me

You folks are lucky. Calling 911 for doughnuts (even by a child) or an abuse hotline via a prank call can get you fined heavily.

Reminds me of this song. 😁

Every time the kid wants a doughnut now, the kid knows who to call.

911
Not if the parents do their part by teaching their kid the more appropriate way to score doughnuts.

God bless you and the kid and his family and their local law enforcement always!!!

Holly

P.S. I'm guessing that the doughnuts were brought to the kid to show that not all cops are the scum of the Earth.

The phone system we used on base for Army recruiting required you to hand input numbers if they were not already in our computer system. We had to dial 9, followed by a 1 for another area code. Of course, if you slipped and hit 1 twice, the call would go to the MPs and they would show up at our office even if you hung up. I had to instruct all of my people to notify me immediately so when they showed up, I could call off the dogs. Most of the time I would call their non-emergency number to let them know, but they usually showed up anyway. It happened to me once when I was calling a potential recruit about his enlistment packet. Oops!

Smart kid, if you're in the mood for donuts who better to call than those noted for their expertise on the matter.

The red shirted guy has eaten far too many donuts.

I forgot to post this video. In this case the child didn't know any better and it wasn't a prank, but 911 does take prank calls seriously though.

I don't see how you can arrest an 11 year old. Legally, they are not responsible for their actions. And they are a child which should not be removed from their parents, the separation can do great harm to them. You don't teach them a "lesson," if anything, you simply fine the parents for the prank call to help urge them to take steps that the kid doesn't do it again.
