Give me a fat, gritty, homely candidate to vote for in 2014 and 2016. This nation is almost dead from a sea of numbskulls voting for pretty faced narcissists. The Senate is stuffed full of pontificating self-worshippers and the Whitehouse is too. How we are still intact as a nation is probably due in large part to the miltary quietly promoting those with dirt under their fingernails who don't spend the majority of their day catching their own reflection in storefront windows...and shining in admiration from their Twitter worshippers..
Yes, we need homely people. Those who don't seem to have a shred of self-awareness. Those that stare you down and bluntly speak the truth and who piss you off..at first.. until you think about it for a minute or two. Everyone needs to get over themselves and listen to other people. Use logic. Call me old fashioned. I want a Taft and an Elenor in the whitehouse next time.
