Yes: I've read a few of Hesse's works I think. It was a long time ago though. The "Glass Bead Game" was a classic. Crikey; haven't even thought about him for years.

Then you have read more than I did … I only read three from the list.
- (1922) Siddhartha
- (1927) Der Steppenwolf
- (1930) Narziß und Goldmund (Narcissus and Goldmund; also published as Death and the Lover)
- (1932) Die Morgenlandfahrt (Journey to the East)
- (1943) Das Glasperlenspiel (The Glass Bead Game; also published as Magister Ludi)
A friend of mine at the time was into importing books; it was about 1978. I read those five and a few other bits. The Glass Bead Game was very very good indeed. (The list is in wiki)

Galileo. Outstanding, but completely failed Brecht's anti-science purpose in writing itWhat about Bert Brecht?
He wrote poems and dramas …. Die Dreigroschenoper .. the Three Penny Opera … is perhaps known.
