He has rolled up MANY decades as a womanizer. Something of which he is very proud. I believe he has been married at least five times.

Without a doubt, he's trying to set up a defense.

He is seventy-four years old so I'd not be surprised to hear an announcement that he is retiring so he can be with his family.
