....After almost two decades, missing child Alexandra Brandt's family isn't losing hope. Earlier this week, her mother and sister arrived at an Ashdod residence and called the police. "This is Alexandra," they told them.

Brandt disappeared in November 24, 1994 on the way home from school in Ramat Gan. She was in the third grade at the time.

20 years later, missing child's mother says: I found her - Israel News, Ynetnews

She found her body? I read the article and it's confusing. Can you explain?

She believes her daughter is a 30 year old woman living in South Israel.

The woman denies (she doesn't recognize the woman claiming to be her mom, and she has a different family name).

I hope this will end up for better, even if the possibility isn't high. If this is indeed the disappearing child, something really bad must have happened to her to forget her mom and having new identity. If it isn't, then all new depression for the poor mother.

It is horrible when you don't really know what happened to your child.

A simple DNA test would answer the question as to girl's true identity.

They could never have guessed that without you

I hope that somehow the poor mother can have some peace......

I guess the 'talking about family members' rule just went out the window.

Very sad story.

Yes, indeed. There are few cases concerning children that scarred very much the Israeli society.

Like the case of Alexandra, and the case of Rose Pizem (suffered domestic abuse and was killed by her parents)-
