But i have grown up with the version Canaan.

If that's what he's speaking of then I'd say the first miracle took place in the timeless void where the Creation of the Universe took place. Name? "The Heaven and the Earth."

Had you titled the thread "Where did Jesus perform His first miracle" then things would have been more clear to me. But if we believe that Jesus is the Creator and that His hand has been involved in the affairs of mankind from the very beginning then we could include the parting of the Red Sea or Manna falling from Heaven (among many other OT miracles) as being some of Christ's earliest miracles.

I had trusted that the wedding in Cana was a well known story
