Basically the law goes like this. If an underage girl wants an abortion she has to get parents permission. If she cant get parents permission then she can go to a judge.

BUT NOW...a lawyer can be hired by the state to represent the fetus. No that is not a typo. That lawyer can call in any witness they like including, boyfriends, teachers, priests ANYONE to testify about her thoughts on abortion.

If thats not bad enough...If the girl wins the Fetus lawyer can APPEAL the case and.....guess whos a mom when the appeal doesnt happen quick enough. Congrats!

OH BUT HERES THE WORST PART...In Alabama right now they dont have enough money to provide people with a public defender. So, Alabama will be sure to protect your rights all the way up until the day you're born. Then you're on your own

In Alabama every law that is passed automatically becomes an amendment to their state constitution too.

Some seriously screwed up priorities in that state.

No state has the right to impose an onerous burden on their citizens. The ACLU is correct that this is unconstitutional because it violates the woman's rights.
