The sitting President's Memorial Day message today was beautiful and heartfelt

Granted it's the sitting president of Ukraine, but it's the thought that counts.

The one sure way to bring tears to my eyes is to see a WWII soldier, sometimes over 100 years of age, struggling to get to his feet, standing for the anthem of their country, Canadian, British or American truth be told.

I just have the deepest respect for men who have stood down evil and risked their lives. They were the lucky ones I suppose, they came home, though they were prepared not to.

Military enlistments are up since Trump took office. Apparently creepy doesn't understand that or he wouldn't have made such a foolish post.
Don't be stupider than you have to be, Son. tRump ain't got nuthin' to do with that.

Enlistments in the U.S. armed forces have increased during President Trump's current term, but the trend began before his reelection in 2024.

📈 Key Points:

  • Recruitment Surge: The U.S. military has seen a notable rise in enlistments since late 2023 and into 2025. For example, in March 2025, about 13,000 new recruits joined — a nearly 50% increase over the previous year

  • Trump's Claims: President Trump has credited this surge to a renewed patriotic spirit and his leadership. He has claimed that enlistments are at a 30-year high, calling it a "Trump Bump"

  • Reality Check: While enlistments have risen, they are still below the peaks seen earlier in the 2010s. Analysts and military officials note that the increase began before Trump’s reelection, largely due to:
    • Recruitment reforms initiated under President Biden
    • Adjusted enlistment goals
    • A post-pandemic rebound in interest in military careers
  • Army Example: The U.S. Army met its 2024 goal of 55,000 recruits and raised its 2025 target to 61,000. December 2024 was its best recruiting month in 12 years, and January 2025 was the best in 15 years

🧭 Conclusion:

Yes, enlistments have increased under President Trump, but the trend started earlier and is influenced by multiple factors beyond presidential leadership.

Trump has everything to do with it. CBS can't be counted on to tell the truth on their best day. The fact that fools like you want a weak and ineffective military is why you fall for their lies.

So this is wrong "but the trend began before his reelection in 2024."

You should say the trend began AFTER his reelection in 2024

Military enlistments were going up during the last part of President Biden's term. By the end of this year, we will see people regarding President Biden's term as the good times.
