Winter: December, January, February
Spring: March, April, May
Summer: June, July, August
Fall: September, October, November

That's pretty much how the masses separate them. Especially farmers and anyone that grows things outdoors.

What difference does the season make? What counts is the weather. I can recall at least one Sunday in late December when I had the pleasure of golfing during the AFC Championship game. Course was empty except for me and a couple Asians. Fantastic.
