Fortunately the Admiral has no problem with this, as the lad has good prospects and may become an officer in time.

However, just before the wedding he takes his beloved daughter aside and says, "look, sailors spend a lot of time at sea with no

Next thing I know, I was on a plane to Okinawa which turned out to be just a stop over on my way to Danang. Never heard from her again.

One of our corpsmen had safe duty at a stateside Naval Hospital until he started dating a nurse, who was an officer. Because of this fraternization, the jealous doctors and other officers shipped him to Vietnam, where he was killed.
