This is going to be a great tournament, and it is going to be a really tight field, no one is going to run away with it, but what a day Justin Thomas is having. The guy is 11 under par with 18 to play, but damn, he puts it in the water on 18. All he needed was a par on 18 for the course record.

TPC Sawgrass is one of the most beautiful courses I have ever seen, this one is right up there with Augusta and Pebble Beach.

I've been there one time. I used to live in Ponte Vedra.

I am hoping Lucas Glover and Colin Morikawa have a good weekend.

Morikawa will, I think this might be his weekend, especially the way he chipped in two yesterday, he is playing very confident right now.

Tommy Fleetwood has 38 top 10 finishes without a win, that is two more than anyone else in PGA history, so I"m rooting for him. He is playing well and really needs to breakthrough.

It will be sweet when he gets his first win wherever it is.

It was great to see Lucas Glover get back to wins in 2023. Love seeing guys in their 40's go on a run.

Just checked, right now the bookies have Rory as the favorite to win (+360) and Morikawa is 2nd (+450) and I actually like Rory the most, this place favors repeat winners for some reason. Scottie has won the last two.

Watching it now. Wind is brutal. It's affecting putts too.

He's in it to win it. His chipping is outstanding, he holed two today, and missed a couple short putts, unreal how some guys are just falling apart out there after being amongst the leaders. Zalatoris was a few strokes out and in the last 5 holes went 8 over.

Rory just eagled 2, he is one out now, and NBC doesn't start showing this for another 2.5 hours.

Thankfully ESPN+ shows this from the start, but the tournament will be half over when NBC starts?

WTF, I don't remember CBS doing this.

OK, weather moving in, leaders on 7 and its about to rain, they moved it up.

Hulu has ESPN+., which apparently is not allowed to show the leaders, because they are folllowing multiple groups but not the Rory group.

Rory birdies 8, tied for lead.

Rory McIlroy has already put himself in a good position to contend for Player Of The Year.

Did you see the putt by Spaun on 18 that would have won it? Came up an inch short. Tough way to lose a tournament that you absolutely played great in against all the top players. I knew he was screwed in a playoff though against Rory, and he flopped hard.

As a golf "duffer" it does me good to see these top professionals hitting so many bad shots. I've always had a hell of a time hitting balls out of high grass. I have no experience with pine straw, but I guess I could suck from that surface as well.

Too bad for Spaun, hitting it over the green on 17. If he had parred that hole the match would have been tied.

Has Scheffler lost his mojo? Only time will tell.

No sir I did not. I only caught a few minutes after the rain delay. Family had a cookout yesterday.

Goddamn good golf, and the course was a real gem. Spaun being interviewed on Sunday sounded like your average guy, soft spoken, humble, not like some rich kid who grew up on a golf course. I really hope his good play continues.
